Attention parents, guardians, and students: Even though we're not in the path of totality, it's crucial to practice safe viewing habits during the solar eclipse in Roane County. Here's what you need to know: General Information: - The Moon covers part of the Sun. - The brightness of the uncovered part of the Sun does not change. - Looking directly at the Sun can cause serious eye damage. Safety Rules: Always use ECLIPSE GLASSES when looking toward the Sun. (Do NOT use sunglasses!) How to Use Eclipse Glasses: - Hold glasses with two hands. - Stand with the front of your body toward the Sun, with your eyes looking down. - While still looking down, put the glasses onto your face. - Once securely fastened, raise your head and look up at the Sun. Let's ensure a safe and enjoyable viewing experience for everyone!
