A Science Moment from RHS STEM: NASA has detected an intense geomagnetic release from the sun G4+ (a big solar flare). When this happens, it's possible to see the Northern Lights or the Aurora Borealis in the Southern United States. To view the Aurora, look to the Northern sky after full dark (usually around 9pm or later). Try to find a viewing area away from as much light pollution as possible. Colors will be more intense and vivid when viewed by a cell phone. Tonight and Tomorrow Night!
