Child Find

The purpose of child find is to locate and evaluate children who are suspected of having a disability and who need special education services and supports. Special education services are accessed through a process which includes referral, evaluation and eligibility determination. Children aged 3 (three) through 21 (twenty-one) may be referred by parents, teachers, physicians or other concerned individuals.

If your child is school-aged:

Please contact your child’s school to discuss your concerns with your child’s teachers and school counselor/administrators. You may also contact the district special education department at any time.

If your child is preschool aged:
