On Friday, February 16, 2018, our Roane County educators met at Harriman High School for the district’s first annual Technology Conference. Teachers, Administrators, and Support Staff rotated through sessions taught by our district staff. With a theme of “Your Technology Toolbox...and Beyond”, attendees focused on using readily available tech resources and developing ways of using them in their classrooms and schools. Topics included QR codes, Robotics, Google apps, Chromebook resources, online assessment tools, tech-time savers, and digital citizenship. Thanks to donations from vendors and a local business, the conference was held at zero cost to the district. We enjoyed seeing our teachers interact with each other as they learned how technology can be further incorporated into the classroom.
